Quiénes somos

Art, identity,
and territory

To connect travelers with Ecuadorian identity through unique pieces, created by artisan hands that preserve millenary traditions.

More than a store.
A living gallery.

Tikuna was born from the conviction that the airport should not be a soulless transit space. It should be the first and last encounter with Ecuador’s cultural richness.

Our products are made by artisans from Ecuador’s three regions, ensuring fair trade, dignified prices, and international visibility for their creations.

Every piece that enters our gallery goes through a rigorous curatorial process: we value the authenticity of the technique, the sustainability of the materials, and the story behind each artisan hand.

Our essence lies in

the attentive Eye that recognizes what is authentic.

Selection

The right wood is selected and soaked to make it easier to work with and preserve its strength.

03

Preparation

A white base coat is applied to seal the wood and prepare the surface for color.

04

Finishing

To finish, each piece is painted and the final details are added to give it identity and character.

Tikuna is part of the Mariscal Sucre International Airport experience, a space that since its opening on February 20, 2013 has built more than 12 years of trajectory, service, and international projection for Quito and Ecuador.

That trust is also supported by the environment that welcomes us: the airport has earned a 5-star Skytrax rating, ACI recognitions as the best airport in Latin America and the Caribbean in its category, and customer experience and airport health accreditations promoted by Quiport.
